【8/13 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, let's start with today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 147.55. This morning, it started around 147.75, but in the early Tokyo session, yen was sold as stocks rose, so dollar-yen moved higher.
However, after tagging 148.15 around noon, a corrective sell-off came in, and the morning's gains were a “give-back” move.
From the morning level, it looks like about a 20-pip drop will hand over to the overseas session.
This evening, there is a lack of catalysts, but given expectations of U.S. rate cuts, dollar-yen may take a downside bias. U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary (or similar) has been talking about “whether to consider a 0.5% cut in September”...
Now, here are tonight's dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements around 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
● Be cautious of U.S. officials’ remarks
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping is expected to profit mainly from market open movements, given the absence of notable catalysts. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Additionally, the 15-minute scalping focused on shorts tends to sell dollars on expectations of U.S. rate cuts, so there may be opportunities. If a setup forms around the 147 mid-level, I will enter.
Now, soon the overseas session will begin!
