GOLD ~ Report of verification from 7/21, 18:00–21:00
This time, we conducted a verification combining the “Sky Gap” logic and a special EA, with entries left to the EA and settlements and price adjustments monitored discretionarily..
The result is +42 pips.
Numbers may seem small at a glance, but for a 1-minute chart achieved within 3 hours, it is a solid result.
⸻
1. Trade Result Summary
• Total trades: 12
• Profit-taking successes: 4
• Stop losses: 5
• Breakeven exits: 3
• Total filled pips: +70 pips
• Total lost pips: -28 pips
• Net profit/loss: +42 pips
• Win rate: about 33% (4 wins/12 plays)
• Profit factor: 2.5
• Average RR (ratio): 2.5 (visual estimation)
Example of earnings (USD/JPY converted at 145)
• When trading 1 lot: +60,900 JPY
• When trading 0.1 lot: +6,090 JPY
⸻
2. Aim of the Verification
The purpose of this verification is to study how much results differ when entry is left to the EA with and without monitoring.
In this test, we deliberately created time for the EA to handle entries, while providing discretionary support at key points for settlements and partial gains, combining them effectively.
As a result, several cases where, if left unattended, a stop would have occurred, were turned into breakeven exits or profit-taking.
⸻
3. Monitoring after entry is essential
What I felt most in this verification is that “monitoring after entry is what makes the difference between win and loss.”
When the EA automatically enters, psychologically you tend to think, “just leave it to the EA.”
However, the actual market can change in an instant.
• Early profit-taking decisions as the price approaches the zone
• Escape to breakeven with a rapid reversal
By making these micro-adjustments, we captured profits that a pure EA-only operation would have missed.
⸻
4. Characteristics of the London opening
The London opening from 18:00 to 21:00 tends to create directional momentum and pairs very well with breakout-type logic.
This time has the following characteristics:
• European participants bring about temporarily large moves
• Price moves become active as a precursor to the NY morning
• Frequent moves that break through ranges of the Asian session
This time, leveraging this trait to reliably capture zone breaks and finish the move quickly proved effective,
⸻
5. Rule-based trading without drawdown
The “Sky Gap” logic is designed to close a losing position immediately if there is no move right after entry., enabling no long-running drawdown.
This allows winning times to maximize profits and limiting losses when not, achieving the classic “cut losses, let profits run” principle.
⸻
6. Our realizations
From this verification, the following points were reaffirmed as particularly effective.
• EA is only a helper. Discretionary monitoring after entry is essential
• London opening is clearly breakout-driven, with high zone reachability
• actively incorporating breakeven exits stabilizes overall results
⸻
7. Conclusion
In this 18:00–21:00 verification, combining EA and discretion allowed us to gain +42 pips.
Profit of +60,900 JPY for 1 lot, +6,090 JPY for 0.1 lot.
The win rate looks low at about 33%, but the Profit Factor of 2.5 is an excellent figure.
Going forward,
• How to maximize momentum right after entry
• Further refine the timing of settlements at zone reach
I feel we can boost performance further by digging into these areas.
Clarity builds conviction
“Sky Gap” is not about flashy one-shot reversals.
It’s about “accumulating small wins to end up with a net positive.”
That stability is its greatest strength.
Using EA makes entry automated,
and you can create a state of “only monitor settlements.”
This is a major advantage that makes it easy to implement while working or doing chores.

ℹ️Announcement of dedicated tool (review bonus)
Currently, we are providing a supplementary tool (auto-entry + stop-loss handling) to those who submit reviews.
This was created from the desire to use it daily, and
it is designed to entrust only the breakouts and risk management according to market structure.
For those who believe profits come from personal judgment, this tool is well-suited.
Reviews are not many yet, but that may be because the structure is simple and clear enough that heavy interaction before or after purchase is not required.
However, if the number of users grows, we may consider charging for it.
The reason is that it may become necessary to operate the tool as a package with support rather than selling the tool alone.
____
◻️ For those who desire EA-based automatic entry
A tool that automates this logic as an EA is under consideration for distribution as a review bonus.
