| Nice to meet you, I’m KLEON. I began investing with friends since college, and it’s been almost 20 years now. I’ve experienced both failures and successes, and today I’d like to share the lessons I’ve learned. |
| First, could you tell us what prompted KLEON to start trading? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes. In college, a close friend mentioned that “you can make money with stocks.” At that time I had little knowledge and started almost as a game. |
| It’s quite rare for a student to actually invest, isn’t it? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes. At that time there wasn’t much information, so there were few people doing it around me. Fortunately, I had friends who were interested too, so I could continue naturally. |
| From there nearly 20 years, I have been involved in investment all the way. |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Before I knew it, so much time had passed. I experienced both the Lehman shock and many market trainings. After continuing, I think my style gradually became established. |
Success in stock investment and Abenomics |
| Regarding the first step of trading, you started with individual stocks. What was your style? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | At first it was entirely stock-centered. The style was short- to medium-term, i.e., swing trading. I held for a few days to 1-2 weeks, and timed buying/selling accordingly. |
| Did you ride the Abe-Nomics wave well at the time? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes. After the Lehman shock, the Nikkei average dropped to around 7000 yen, and then recovered with Abe-Nomics. I made substantial profits by riding that wave in individual stocks. |
| This was a period where “buy and it goes up” was common. |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes, during that period anyone who held stock could profit. I also earned significant profits. |
Shift to FX and its struggles |
| What prompted the shift to FX, and where did the difficulty lie? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | The stock market started moving more slowly. It became harder to make money as in the early days of Abe-Nomics, and naturally my attention shifted to the more volatile FX. |
| What was the first currency pair you worked on? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | The first was GBP/JPY. It has large price movements, so I felt it suited short-term trading for big moves in one shot. |
| What was your impression when you first moved from stocks to FX? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | It was tougher than I imagined. Initially I kept losing, and I was shocked at how different it was. I experienced a back-and-forth of wins and losses, and funds didn’t grow easily. |
Meeting the mentor changes trading |
| What was the turning point during the tough period? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | The major turning point was meeting a professional trader, a mentor. This person was exceptionally skilled and hardly ever lost on a month basis. |
| What about his trading impressed you the most? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Above all,“loss cutting is thorough”He would cut losses immediately when trades went against him and ride the trend when it moved in his favor. His emotionless, machine-like adherence to the logic was truly shocking. |
| Did adopting that mindset change your trading style as well? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes. Before, I would extend losses hoping they would turn around, or close positions too early. After adopting that mindset, my thinking completely changed, and my performance stabilized. |
Core of Gold Entry technique |
| Regarding the “Gold Monster” you’ve provided, what exactly does it cover? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | loss small, profit big, aiming for big profits on small lossesThis is a trading approach based on the basic principle. Gold, in particular, has high volatility, so the strategy leverages that characteristic. |
| Are there particular points you emphasize in the method? |
| | | GoGoJiang Hayakawa |
 | | KLEON |
| | Yes, it’s about the timing of the entry. Entering too early or too late won’t work. In my method, I enter only when certain conditions are met and I clearly define a “trigger” in advance. |
| By learning this, viewers can trade like KLEON, right? |
