【A lazy full-time trader’s trade commentary】How to earn a monthly income from the market
I am a full-time currency trader, and my name is Neko.
As I release the semi-automatic method N-Method using EA, I will explain the entries of this method conducted alongside my main trading work.
First, GBPJPY.
The market dropped significantly from Tokyo time, but I entered a short position with N-Method around 5 o’clock.
The image is a 4-hour chart.
As a hint, RSI is below 50 indicating bearishness, it touched 30, but since the trend is in effect I will ignore it. Then the middle band’s slope started to increase, and when the Bollinger Band expanded, there is the N-Method signal.
N-Method signal.
Although the manual for N-Method states to set the entry EA and alert EA on a 5-minute chart, it is not an issue what time frame you set it on. From next time, I will set the EA on a 4-hour chart to make the entry points clearer and trade in parallel with my main business trading.
In the end, since it was Friday, I closed around 2 o’clock on Saturday without a profit-taking signal, earning about 400 pips.
In 2016 or even much earlier, GBPJPY typically moved 300+ pips, so
I feel that the range market that continued from 2017 has ended and a high-volatility market has arrived.
This is the daily chart. At the area where the vertical line extends, I expanded the Bollinger Bands.
On the daily chart, breaking the middle band signaled bearishness, and since the bands were contracting, there was a high likelihood of expansion, so contrarian trades should be taken cautiously.
I feel that the movement pattern of GBPJPY is condensed on the 4-hour chart.
Therefore, N-Method traders should focus on the daily and 4-hour charts, and leave lower timeframes to the EA.
Bollinger Bands, RSI, and Heikin-Ashi
The chart settings may seem very simple, but
Oscillators, etc., the calculation formulas do not change much, so one is enough.
On the contrary, in modern times just being able to understand real-time market movements is already quite revolutionary.
Heikin-Ashi, which is widely known, often makes people feel “I can win!” by intuition at first, but many are disappointed when they start using it in practice.
N-Method provides one answer to that.
