【Busy full-time trader's trade commentary】How to earn monthly income from the market
My name is Neko, and I work as a full-time forex trader.
I am releasing the semi-discretionary method N-Method that uses EA, and I will explain the entries of this method I conducted in parallel with my main trading work.
First, GBP/JPY.
The market fell sharply from Tokyo time, but I entered a short with N-Method around 5 o'clock.
The image is a 4-hour chart.
As a cue, RSI is under 50 indicating bearishness; it has touched 30, but since the trend is in effect I ignore it. Then as the middle band’s slope increases and the Bollinger Bands expand, this is the N-Method signal.
*In the N-Method manual, entries with EA and alerts are described as set to the 5-minute chart, but you can set them on any timeframe. Next time I will set the EA on a 4-hour chart to make the entry points clearer and trade in parallel with my main business trading.
As a result, since it was Friday, I closed around 2 o'clock on Saturday without a clear take-profit signal, and I secured about 400 pips.
Back in 2016 or even earlier, GBP/JPY typically moved 300 pips or more, so
I feel that the range market that continued from 2017 has ended and a high-volatility market has arrived.
This is the daily chart. The segment where the vertical line extends shows an expansion of the Bollinger Bands.
On the daily chart, breaking the middle band is bearish, and since the bands were narrowing, the possibility of expansion was high, so contrarian trades should be taken cautiously.
I feel that the price movement of GBP/JPY is condensed in the 4-hour chart.
Therefore, N-Method traders should focus on the daily and 4-hour charts and leave the lower timeframes to the EA.
Bollinger Bands, RSI, and Heikin-Ashi candlesticks
may seem to be a very simple chart setup, but
oscillators have calculations that don’t differ much, so one is more than enough.
Rather, even more than before, in modern times simply knowing real-time market movements is quite revolutionary.
Heikin-Ashi, which has become widely used among the public, often disappoints many when they first feel “I can win!” and actually try it in practice.
N-Method provides one answer to that.
