[Advice from a bored full-time trader] Waiting for a pullback without a pullback?
Of course, in a ranging market you must patiently wait for a solid pullback.
But trend-obsessed traders can’t do that, can they?
Especially when a trend has just occurred right before.
Trends occur periodically, so even in a range you end up chasing the illusion of a trend.
After a while you learn, but by then a trend forms.
Then because you have an image of a range, you end up waiting for a pullback with no pullback at all.
In other words, you must perform proper market context analysis
and change your strategy each time.
