[6/26 USD/JPY scalping points]
Thanks for your hard work! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo-time overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 144.35. This morning it started around 145.15, but in Tokyo time the market has seen Dollar selling on headlines about easing Middle East tensions and President Trump signaling he will nominate a Fed chair by September or October.
It seems Powell’s reluctance to cut rates has angered traders... The market is pricing in an earlier rate cut by the US.
From the morning level, about 80 pips lower, the baton will be handed to overseas trading hours.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 releases: US Initial Jobless Claims, US Q1 GDP, US Durable Goods Orders
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 U.S. existing-home sales pending
—–
● Pay attention to remarks by U.S. officials
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
For tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping, you should gain momentum from near market opens plus the moves after 21:30 (US Initial Jobless Claims, US Q1 GDP, US Durable Goods Orders) and after 23:00 (US existing-home sales pending). If you follow the “1-minute scalping club” theory, there should be no problem with proper execution.
Also, the 15-minute short-only chart scalping may have opportunities as headlines suggest the Fed chair will be named by September or October, keeping rate-cut expectations and U.S. credibility under pressure. If you can wait for a slight pullback to the mid-144s to sell, you can enter.
Now, soon the overseas session will begin!
