【6/24 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Let’s go with dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently, dollar/yen is around 145.15 yen. This morning it started around 146.05, but during Tokyo time there was a continued dollar selling rally as risk-off buying of the dollar unwound, leading to a periodic sell-off.
In response to the U.S. military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran fired missiles toward a U.S. military base in Qatar, but since it was a formal, pre-announced retaliation, there was no U.S. counterattack, and the tense Middle East situation has been relatively eased.
From the morning level, it is likely to drop about 90 pips as it transitions to overseas time.
The United States, somewhat forcibly, began the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, and we can only hope it ends smoothly.
Now, the points for tonight’s dollar/yen scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 U.S. Consumer Confidence Index release and after the testimony of Federal Reserve Chair Powell before Congress
—–
● Pay attention to remarks by U.S. officials
● Pay attention to Middle East-related headlines
● Pay attention to headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping aims to accumulate profits from movements around each market’s open, plus moves after the 23:00 release of the U.S. Consumer Confidence Index and after Powell’s congressional testimony. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to theory should be fine.
Also, the short-only 15-minute chart scalping is seeing a strong unwinding of dollar buying as the Middle East situation eases, presenting a potential opportunity. If a pullback allows selling around the mid-145s, we will enter.
Now, soon the overseas session will begin!
