FX automated trading flow—EA installation, VPS, MT4, trading
This time I will introduce the flow for operating with FX automated trading.
What is often discussed on my site when questions come up is that,I frequently hear that it’s great to be able to operate with automated trading because it’s hard to secure substantial time due to full-time work or parenting.
In FX automated trading,after configuring the EA once, it requires little time, which I think is one of the big advantages.
Because you can devote the spare time to your family, work, or other investments.
Additionally, in automated trading you can combine various types of EAs and operate them. Verifying that is very interesting and exciting.
From the trading style and performance characteristics of the EA, I believe there is a big appeal in operated in my own wayfor automated tradinggreat魅力I think it has.

1. Opening an account
Open a FX brokerage account.What to watch out for is whether the brokerage supports MT4 (MetaTrader 4) charts.
Among overseas companies, MT4 is usable at most, but in Japan it is limited.
Recommended for scalping: “Oanda Japan” and “Gaitame Finest”; for swing EAs, in addition to Oanda and Gaitame, “Forex.com” is recommended.

2. Considering and purchasing the EA
Among many EAs, decide which EA to operate and make a purchase.
For beginners with little investment capital, it is recommended to start with one EA that has long-term performance and low risk to get accustomed to trading.
Also, when operating multiple EAs, you should avoid using similarly performing EAs and diversify risk.
EAs tend to swing with market fluctuations, so they are easier to operate. However, there are relatively few swing-trade EAs, so the ones suitable for operation tend to be limited.

3. VPS setup (optional)
A VPS is a virtual desktop,where you rent a server from the contracted company and run MT4 for automated trading inside it.(Not on your PC, but accessed via Windows Server over the Internet.)
When trading with MT4 automated trading,you must keep the PC powered on; otherwise the EA will not trade.So, most traders use VPS for automated trading.
Thus, by using VPS, MT4 can be installed inside the VPS, and you can turn off your own PC (since you are operating from the provider’s server).
If you are a Mac user and cannot use Windows, you will use VPS to run MT4.➡︎

Keeping your PC powered on constantly carries some risk management concerns.For example, a family member might stop MT4 without permission, or the PC might save passwords for online banking or online shopping automatically, so if the PC is hacked by someone, there is risk.Depending on capacity, a monthly cost of around 2000 yen is common.

4. Operation
For beginners in automated trading, at first, I think it’s fine to not push hard and think, “Let’s try earning a little on the side.” is okay.
Try to increase 100,000 yen to 10,000 yen or 20,000 yen. It’s a small allowance, but it should yield much higher returns than keeping it in the bank, and in effect it’s the same as turning 1,000,000 yen into 100,000 yen, or 200,000 yen.
That approach avoids overly risky trades and takes time to get used to automated trading, so I believe it will lead to good outcomes in the end.
