【6/4 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points】
Good job everyone! Now let's do dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of today in Tokyo time.
Currently the dollar/yen is around 144.00 yen. This morning it started around 143.95 yen, and during Tokyo time the U.S. Trump administration enacted a 50% tariff on steel and aluminum as scheduled (excluding the UK still in negotiation). There was some dollar selling, but the moves were limited, and after 14:30 Japan time there were moments when it strengthened to around 144.40 yen.
There seems to be market anticipation for a U.S.-China summit as well. Details of the schedule have not been mentioned yet though...
However, vigilance regarding U.S. Trump tariffs remains strong, and afterward there will be a pullback, with the overseas session likely to take over around the morning levels.
Now, the points for tonight's dollar/yen scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 16:00
● Movements after the 21:15 U.S. ADP employment data release
● Movements around the New York market open near 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 U.S. ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI release
—–
● Pay attention to remarks by U.S. officials
● Pay attention to headlines related to the Trump administration
This evening, the 1-minute scalping will be focused on movements around market opens, plus the moves after the 21:15 ADP data and the 23:00 ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI release to build profits. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” processing according to the theory should be fine.
Additionally, for those who focus on the short-term 15-minute scalp, there is still strong vigilance regarding Trump tariffs despite expectations for a U.S.-China summit, and there may be opportunities. If it becomes possible to sell around the 144 yen level, we will enter.
Now, overseas time will begin shortly!
