[6/2 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Let’s do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, the overview for Tokyo time today.
Currently, dollar-yen is around 142.80. This morning it started around 143.80, but during Tokyo time this week there have been continued negative movements regarding U.S. Trump tariffs, leading to a dollar-selling trend.
President Trump announced raising tariffs on steel and aluminum from 25% to 50%, to take effect from June 4, and China’s absence from the Asia Security Conference, along with Defense Secretary Hagel’s warning that a conflict over Taiwan could be imminent, seem to be contributing factors.
From the morning levels, expect about a 1 yen drop as we transition to overseas hours.
Now, the points for tonight’s dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 US ISM Manufacturing PMI release

● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute chart scalping aims to accumulate profits from moves near each market open plus the movements after the 23:00 ISM PMI release. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” handling as per the theory should be fine.
Also, for the short-only 15-minute chart scalping, negative moves surrounding Trump tariffs are likely to continue into the start of the week, offering opportunities. If we see a bit of a pullback and can sell around the mid-143 yen level, we will enter.
