[Free Method Available] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points 2025/5/16
This is Tomizaki from the Trading Office.
[5/16 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Good job today! Alright, let's do dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the dollar/yen is around the 145.25 level. The pair started this morning around 145.60, but during Tokyo time it moved toward the 144s as the yen appreciated, indicating a yen-strengthening trend.
The reason is that there may be a U.S.-Japan finance ministers meeting around the G7 held from the 20th to the 22nd next week, and the topic of yen depreciation correction is still strongly in focus.
From the morning levels, we are likely to see about 35 pips decline as we hand over to overseas trading.
Now, here are tonight's dollar/yen scalping points.
● Movements around the London market open at 16:00
● Movements after the US housing starts release at 21:30
● Movements near the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release at 23:00
—–
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute time frame scalping envisions stacking profits with movements around each market open, plus the moves after 21:30’s US housing starts and 23:00’s UMich index release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” it should be fine as long as you follow the theory.
Also, the short-only 15-minute scalping, as yesterday, tends to tilt toward yen buying due to expectations of US-Japan finance ministers talks, so there may be opportunities. If it forms a sell setup around the 145 mid level, we will enter.
Now, the overseas trading session will begin shortly!
