[5/13 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points]
Good work today! Let’s do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of the Tokyo session today.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 147.85. This morning it started around 148.40, but in the Tokyo session the flow of dollar buying and yen selling softened after the US-China announced tariffs, causing a pause.
From the overseas session high of 148.65 last night, it has fallen about 1 yen to around 147.65 by just past 14:00 Japan time. However the dollar-strong trend continues, and after a small rebound, it is expected to slide about 55 pips from the morning level, handing over to the overseas session.
Depending on tonight’s US CPI, there is a possibility of aiming for 150 yen, which is worth watching.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 release of the US Consumer Price Index
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping will involve profits from moves near each market open and the moves after the 21:30 US CPI release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” if you follow the theory, there should be no problem.
Also, for the short-only 15-minute chart scalping, given the hostile tariff announcements between the US and China, a continuation of the dollar-strong trend is reasonable, so don’t push too hard today. If there’s a chance, it would be after the US CPI.
Now, the overseas session is about to start!
