【Free Methods Available】Tonight's USD/JPY Scalp Points 2025/5/1
This is Tomizaki from Trading Office.
[5/1 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Good job everyone! Alright, let’s do some USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 144.40. The pair started this morning around 142.95, but in Tokyo time, the Bank of Japan kept rates unchanged as market expectations, leading to a dollar-buying, yen-selling flow.
By just after 16:00 Japan time, it rose to around 144.75.
The delay of about one year in achieving the 2% inflation target also seems to be a factor pushing USD/JPY higher.
From the morning levels, it has risen about 1.45 yen by the time markets switch to overseas hours.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
• Movements near the London market open around 16:00
• Movements after the U.S. initial jobless claims at 21:30
• Movements near the New York market open around 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)
• Movements after the U.S. ISM Manufacturing Index release at 23:00
• Beware headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping theme is to capture profits from the market opens and after the 21:30 U.S. initial jobless claims and the 23:00 ISM Manufacturing Index releases. Users of the “1-minute Scalping Club” should manage positions according to theory.
Also, the 15-minute scalping (short only) is trending toward dollar-buying, yen-selling in the short term due to BoJ rate hike probability dropping to under 30%, so don’t push it too hard. If there’s a chance, wait until after U.S. data releases.
Now, overseas time will start shortly!
