[4/23 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Thanks for your hard work! Alright, let's do dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 141.95. The pair started this morning around 141.45, but in the early Tokyo session, due to remarks from U.S. President Trump, there was a temporary strong rebound in dollar buying, and after 7:30 a.m. Japan time it rose to around 143.20.
According to President Trump, he does not intend to dismiss Fed Chair Powell, and depending on a trade deal, tariffs on China could be significantly reduced... Trump, which side are you on??
However, dollar downside pressure remains strong, and more than half of the gains were pared back, so from the morning level we might see about a 50 pips increase by the time the overseas session starts.
Did the tasty part get taken during the Tokyo session again..?
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after 22:45 “US Manufacturing PMI” release
● Beware of statements from U.S. officials
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping envisions adding to profits with movements around each market open plus the post-22:45 US Manufacturing PMI release. Users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club” should be fine if they follow the theory.
Also, for those who specialize in shorting with the 15-minute chart, after Trump’s remarks there was a temporary dollar buy, but dollar selling pressure remains strong, so there may be opportunities. If a setup appears at around the 142 yens level, I will enter.
Now, the overseas session is about to start!
