A sharp reversal... a dead cat bounce? The impact of additional tariffs is unknown. NTT and SB (SoftBank) remain solid!
Hello everyone.
Today the market, after yesterday's strong advance, turned around and generally declined.
There is a stock market term called "dead cat bounce" (even a dead cat bounces if it falls from a high position). Yesterday's rise might have been exactly that. If you think it was only a temporary technical rebound, it is a bit disappointing.
From today, it seems additional tariffs have also been implemented.
How much the market has priced in this fact, and what kind of movement will be seen from tomorrow, has again left the outlook unclear.
The shadow of a trade war continues to cast a heavy atmosphere over the entire market.
In the midst of that, the recently purchased NTT and SoftBank (SB) have shown relatively firm price action, and one could say they were bought at a good level.
Their stable earnings base and this duo's strengths, which are less influenced by government policy, may have been demonstrated in today's market as well.
However, if the overall market trend remains unfavorable, even these two stocks will not be able to completely escape its effects.
From tomorrow onward, I will carefully observe market movements and firmly manage risk across the entire portfolio.
Well then, see you at tomorrow's market.
