【4/10 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Now, let's do dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo-session overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 146.75. The pair started morning around 147.75, but during Tokyo time it has been drifting lower after yesterday's sharp rise.
Although President Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, it is unclear whether talks with other countries will proceed or if this is merely a temporary suspension.
Additionally, with further 강화 on tariffs against China, waiting for China's retaliation is weighing on USD/JPY tops.
From the morning level, about a 1 yen drop is expected to be handed over to overseas time.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 release of “US initial jobless claims” and “US CPI”
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Be mindful of statements from US officials
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute scalping will add profits from the market open vicinity and the movements after the 21:30 releases of “US initial jobless claims” and “US CPI.” For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Also, the short-only 15-minute scalping is heavy on tops due to waiting for China’s retaliation on mutual tariffs, so there should be opportunities as well. If you can sell around the 147 yen level, that’s the setup to enter.
