Thanks for your hard work! Alright, let's trade dollar-yen scalping tonight as well!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 144.80. This morning it started around 146.20, but during Tokyo time the trend has shifted toward a weaker dollar and stronger yen due to the US reciprocal tariffs.
With tariffs against China updated to 84% and a total of 104%, this is almost a near-import ban level. Still, China shows no signs of backing down.
From the morning levels, about a 1 yen 40 sen drop, and it looks like a handover to overseas trading time.
Now, here are the points for tonight's dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 27:00 release of the U.S. FOMC minutes
● Be cautious of U.S. officials’ statements
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute scalp is expected to profit from movements around each market open, given there are no major catalysts in the market. For users of the "1-minute scalp Club," handling according to the theory should be fine. There is a 27:00 “Release of the U.S. FOMC minutes,” but that depends on staying up.
Also, the 15-minute scalp, which is a short-selling focus, is still prone to yen appreciation due to U.S. reciprocal tariffs, so there should be chances as well. If a selling setup forms around the mid-145s, we will enter.
