Thanks for your hard work! Now let's do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, a summary of today's Tokyo session.
Currently, the dollar/yen is around 145.35. This morning it started around 145.45, but in the early Tokyo session it gapped down significantly, and before 12:00 Japan time it rose to around 146.85 to fill the gap.
However, once the gap was filled, it turned down again, and it seems it will hand over to the overseas session at roughly the same level as in the morning.
This morning's downside gap is about 1.4 yen wide, the largest gap down since 2000... It seems movements driven by U.S. protectionism tariffs will continue.
Now, here are tonight's dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Be cautious of U.S. officials' statements
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute scalping: with no particular catalysts in the market, the plan is to accumulate profits around market open in each session. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” I believe there should be no problem handling it according to the standard approach.
Also, the 15-minute scalping, which is shorting-focused, tends to lean toward yen strengthening due to U.S. tariffs, so there should be opportunities as well. The idea is to wait a bit for a pullback and sell around the 146 yen level.
With that, overseas time is about to begin!
