A quick recap of Dow Theory basics
Dow Theory has six basic rules, but two particularly used in environment recognition are
Trends continue until a clear signal appears
→ “Higher highs and higher lows = uptrend”
→ “Lower highs and lower lows = downtrend”
Look at the long-term trend (higher timeframes) to grasp the current wave direction
For example
If the higher timeframes are lowering highs and lows, it’s a downtrend
If the higher timeframes are raising highs and lows, it’s an uptrend
(If neither highs nor lows are updated, it’s a ranging market)

I recently purchased the Earthly Speed Indicator. I’ve been in FX for about 10 years.
