【4/1 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let’s do dollar/yen scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is at the 149.70 level. This morning it started around 149.90, but during Tokyo time it moved in the high 149s without a clear direction.Could this be waiting for Trump’s tariff announcement tomorrow (Japan time on the 3rd)?
From the morning level, about a 20-pips drop will hand off to overseas time.
Last night USD/JPY saw a large rebound, but with a single word from Mr. Trump, it might turn back to a risk-off move.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movement around the London market open near 16:00
● Movement around the New York market open near 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movement after the release of “U.S. ISM Manufacturing PMI” and “U.S. JOLTS Job Openings” at 23:00
● Watch headlines related to the Trump administration
● Watch headlines related to the Bank of Japan’s additional rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to moves around each market open, should gain opportunities after 23:00 with the release of the U.S. ISM Manufacturing PMI and U.S. JOLTS. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” if you handle it according to theory, there should be no problem.
Also, the 15-minute scalping, which is short-side focused, may flip back to a risk-off move due to the rebound in USD/JPY last night, so there may also be opportunities. If you can sell around the mid-149s, that’s the image for entering.
