Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview. Currently, USD/JPY is around 148.90. This morning the pair started around 149.70, but during Tokyo time it moved with a stronger yen.
The reason is that anticipation is growing ahead of the Trump administration’s planned reciprocal tariffs on the 2nd.
If every country is subject to reciprocal tariffs with a maximum 20% tax rate... what happened to last week’s statements that the tariffs and targets were lenient?
From the morning level, it will likely transition to overseas time with about 80 pips of decline.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements around 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Watch headlines related to Trump administration
● Watch headlines related to BOJ rate hike expectations
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping is expected to profit from moves near each market open, given there are no notable catalysts in the market. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalp focused on shorts will likely tilt toward yen appreciation due to heightened fear of Trump administration tariffs, offering another potential opportunity. Wait for a slight pullback, and look to sell around the mid-148 level.
