【3/28 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Alright, let's do a Dollar/Yen scalping session again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo-time overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 150.65. This morning it started around 150.95, but during Tokyo time the yen selling and dollar buying were dominant toward the fix, lifting the level to around 150.20, but later it softened and dropped to the mid-150s.
There seems to be lingering caution about potential retaliation by European countries and Canada against U.S. auto tariffs and reciprocal tariffs under the Trump administration.
From the morning level, we expect a drop of about 30 pips as we transition to overseas hours.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 U.S. Personal Income release
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 U.S. University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release
● Be cautious of U.S. officials' remarks
● Be cautious of headlines related to Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to BOJ rate hike expectations
For tonight's 1-minute scalping, in addition to moves near each market open, opportunities may arise after the 21:30 U.S. Personal Income and the 23:00 U.S. University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index releases. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalping which specializes in shorts, like yesterday, is unlikely to extend gains due to periodical concerns around month-end, year-end, and quarter-end. It also seems there could be chances. If you can set up to sell around the mid-150s, that is the image for entries.
