[Method freely available] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points 2025/3/14
Tomizaki of the Trading Office here.
[3/14 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Let's do Dollar/Yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 148.50. This morning it started around 147.80, but during Tokyo time it rose significantly on expectations that the U.S. government shutdown would be avoided, hitting today’s Asian high of 148.65 just after 14:30.
It may pull back slightly, rising about 70 pips from the morning level as we transition to overseas hours.
Now European and London participants will enter, but with next week’s U.S. and Japan monetary policy in focus, there could be some weekend-driven adjustments.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 release of the U.S. University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to BOJ additional rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will likely present opportunities not only around market opens but also after the 23:00 UMICH data release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling proceedings as per the theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute short-only scalping, ahead of next week’s U.S.-Japan policy, could have a chance if weekend-driven adjustments flow in. If price can be sold above 148, that’s the setup to look for.
Now, we’re about to begin overseas hours!
