【3/13 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's go with dollar-yen scalping tonight as well!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the dollar/yen is at the 147.75 level. This morning it started around 148.20, but during Tokyo time the remarks by Bank of Japan Governor Ueda that “real wages are expected to improve” raised expectations for an additional BOJ rate hike, contributing to a yen-strengthening trend.
With this, yesterday's dollar/yen rise has completely come full circle. From the morning level, about a 45-pip drop will hand over to overseas trading.
Now, here are tonight's dollar/yen scalping points.
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 release of the US Weekly Initial Jobless Claims and the US Producer Price Index
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (the Dow opens at 22:30)
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be mindful of headlines related to BOJ additional rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will gain opportunities around market open and after the 21:30 releases of the US Initial Jobless Claims and the US Producer Price Index. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” processing as per theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute chart short-only scalping may see an increased tendency toward yen appreciation due to Ueda’s remarks about possible further rate hikes, so there should be chances as well. The image is to wait for a slight pullback and then enter around the 148 level.
