Tokyo time, the USD/JPY is hovering around148.00yen. In European time, the USD/JPY rebound led to148.70yen in the upper range. In New York time,NYtime,2month U.S.CPIexceeded expectations (not). When released, USD/JPY fell to148.13yen, then surged with quick buying, reaching149.19yen. Thereafter there was no follow-through buying, and in line with the sudden rise, theNYDow Jones average turned sharply lower, causing USD/JPY to148.10yen lower.
