Good work today! Now, let's go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 148.00. This morning it started around 147.80, but during the Tokyo session it continued the rebound from the night’s low of 147.00 seen in the overseas session, showing a slight yen-selling tendency.
The reason is that Ukraine expressed willingness to accept a one-month provisional ceasefire, which led to a risk-on reversal… but Mr. Putin doesn’t seem interested in a short-term ceasefire, does he?
From the morning level, about 20 pips higher, it looks to carry into the overseas session.
Today, with the US CPI looming, it seems a bit more likely to see selling for position adjustments, but what will happen remains to be seen.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 US CPI release
● Movements around 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be mindful of headlines related to Bank of Japan added rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping will likely have opportunities around market opens and after the 21:30 US CPI release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” if you follow the theory, there should be no problem.
Also, the 15-minute scalping focusing on short positions will have opportunities if there are position-adjusting sells ahead of the US CPI. If a selling setup emerges around the 147 mid-figure area, that would be the place to act.
