[Techniques available free to the public] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points 2025/3/11
This is Tomiaki from Trading Office.
【3/11 Dollar-Yen Short-Term Trading Points】
Good work everyone! Now, let’s do some USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, a quick overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 147.20. This morning it started around 147.25, but in the early Tokyo session the flow of selling dollars and buying yen was dominant, and before 11:00 it dropped to today’s Asian low around 146.55.
The reasons include concerns about the global economic slowdown triggered by the tariffs started by U.S. President Trump, and the risk of a U.S. recession.
However, it did not break below 146.50, and from this level it rebounded, likely handing over to overseas traders with roughly the same level as in the morning.
The overseas participation will come in, and there may be another time window where it digs lower. For now, the target is 146.50.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movement near the 16:00 London market open
● Movement near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movement after the 23:00 U.S. JOLTS jobs report
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to Bank of Japan rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping will likely create opportunities around market openings and after the 23:00 U.S. JOLTS release. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” following the theory should be fine.
Additionally, for those focusing on a 15-minute chart scalping purely on the short side, if the yen continues to strengthen due to U.S. recession risk, there should be opportunities. If price can move to around 147, we will look to enter.
Now, we are about to start overseas time!
