Good work everyone! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is at around 150.40. This morning it started around 150.65, and in the early Tokyo session there were moments when it rose to around 151.00, but as tension over the Ukraine situation eased, it seems the risk-off dollar buying faded.
Subsequently, it moved in the 150.50-150.25 range, and from the morning level it’s about 25 pips lower, ready to baton pass to the overseas session.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00
● Movements near the New York market open around 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the 24:00 release of the U.S. ISM Manufacturing Index
● Be cautious of U.S. official remarks
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to Bank of Japan rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will have chances around market openings and after the 24:00 ISM Manufacturing Index release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Additionally, the 15-minute scalping focused on shorts may have fewer opportunities as the US economy worsens and expectations shift toward rate cuts, narrowing the U.S.-Japan rate differential and causing a stalemate. If you get a selling setup, proceed with small, careful adjustments. Profit from the bid!
