[Technique Free Public] Tonight's USD/JPY Scalping Points 2025/2/27
This is Tomizaki from Trading Office.
[2/27 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Good work everyone! Let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 149.15. This morning it started around 149.05, but in the Tokyo session it descended to around 148.80 before turning and rebounding to the early 149s.
Perhaps owing to month-end factors, there was some position-adjusting buying amid the recent USD weakness and JPY strength trend.
However, with concerns that US-EU trade tensions could intensify, the rebound remains limited, and price action is likely to stay heavy ahead of the next catalyst. It looks like we’ll hand off to overseas hours near the morning levels.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 17:00 London market open
● Movements after the 22:30 release of U.S. Initial Jobless Claims, U.S. Q4 GDP, and U.S. Durable Goods orders
● Movements around the 23:00 New York market open (the Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the 24:00 release of U.S. Pending Home Sales
● Be cautious of comments from U.S. officials
● Be cautious of developments in the Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to BoJ rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalp trades will be shaped by moves around the market opens plus after the 22:30 data (Initial Jobless Claims, Q4 GDP, Durable Goods orders) and after the 24:00 Pending Home Sales. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” applying the theory should pose no problems.
Also, the 15-minute scalp, which focuses on the short-side, has somewhat retraced during Tokyo hours but remains heavy, and if concerns about US-EU trade tensions grow, there could be opportunities. If price can sell near around 149, you may consider entering.
Now we are about to enter overseas hours!
