The dollar/yen briefly hit a low of 148.84 yen, the lowest since December 3 of last year, before a rebound.

With Japan closed for Emperor’s Birthday substitute holiday, the dollar/yen briefly touched148.84yen, the lowest since12/3last year. After that, the intraday low of148.63yen provided support, prompting a rebound. In Europe, as theDAXNYDow futures and others, the dollar/yen rose to149.87yen. In New York time, when U.S. stocks began higher but turned lower, the dollar/yen slid temporarily to149.18yen, but subsequently recovered to149.91yen.
