From slot pro to trader!? |
Ms. Kotsumekko, thank you for joining us today. First of all, what sparked your initial interest in investing? |

The first time I learned about investing was when I inherited some stocks from my father. I only knew that owning stocks could earn dividends, and I didn’t have the idea of making profits through capital gains at that time. |

While I was a college student, I earned a living as a slot pro while pursuing music, but someone close to me suddenly stopped coming to the halls. When I worried and reached out, they said they found something even more interesting.
If you ask around, it turned out to be stock and FX trading. That was my first encounter with the markets. |
|
I never imagined moving from slots to trading! The experience in slots could be put to use in trading as well.
Before starting FX, did you consider other financial products or methods? |

I did stock day trading and scalping. Back then there wasn’t as much information as now, so I learned by trial and error. I thought about high-expected-value methods and exchanged information on online forums. |
|
A gambler’s mindset gave rise to the Profit Factor perspective |
| At that time, what were your expectations or goals for investing? |
|

I’m originally a gambler’s thinker, so it’s about whether the expected value is high or low. When it comes to expected value, I place more importance on the Profit Factor than on win rate. |

Also, don’t have excessive expectations about the market; the goal is not to incur a large overall loss. If you don’t lose, you’ll end up winning, right? Of course, money management is important to ensure your capital doesn’t run dry before a run of wins. |
|
I see! The overall “expected value” thinking that wins in the end is a mindset I’d like to adopt. I want to trade without getting too worked up by every win or loss, adopting the idea “if you don’t lose, you can win.” |
