【2/14 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Let’s do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of today’s Tokyo session.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 152.50. This morning it started around 152.80, but during the Tokyo session it has faced a heavy ceiling due to the declines in overseas hours yesterday.
With President Trump delaying the immediate imposition of mutual tariffs and indicating talks with trading partners, the dollar is under pressure.
From the morning level, we are about 30 pips lower when handing over to overseas hours.
Today's Asia high is around 153.15 and Asia low around 152.45.
Now, here are tonight’s dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements around 17:00 when the London market opens
● Movements after the release of the U.S. retail sales
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Watch the developments of the Trump administration
● Be mindful of headlines related to BoJ rate hikes
For tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to movements around each market open, opportunities may arise after the 22:30 U.S. retail sales release. Members of the “1-Minute Scalping Club” should handle as per the theory, I think there won’t be issues.
Also, the 15-minute scalping, which focuses on short sales, will likely gain selling pressure as Trump delayed the immediate tariffs, so there should be chances as well. If you can sell above the mid-152s level, that’s when you’d enter.
