Good job everyone! Let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, summary of Tokyo session today.
The current USD/JPY is around 151.90. This morning it started around 151.95, but during Tokyo hours there was no clear direction due to Japan's market holiday.
Tonight's Powell Congressional testimony and tomorrow's US CPI ahead are creating a cautious mood.
It seems we will hand over to overseas time at roughly the same level as the morning. Today’s Asia low is around 151.70, Asia high around 152.05.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00
● Movements near the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Be cautious of remarks from U.S. officials
● Be cautious of developments in the Trump administration
● Be cautious of headlines related to BoJ additional rate hikes
A 1-minute scalping tonight, excluding U.S. official remarks, does not have particularly big catalysts, and profits are expected to come from moves around market opens. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalp purely for short positions, with tomorrow's US CPI in sight, may present opportunities if there are position-adjusting sells. If it becomes a setup to sell around 152, that’s the image for entering.
