【2/10 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 152.30. This morning it started around 151.30, but in the early Tokyo session there was an announcement that President Trump would impose a flat 25% tariff on steel and aluminum, which caused risk-off buying of dollars and yen to mix, resulting in limited moves.
However, as the session moved toward the end, dollar buying gradually strengthened, pushing to a new Asia session high for today, rising about 1 yen from the morning level, and it looks like it will transition to the overseas session.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the 17:00 London market open
● Movements near the 23:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Pay attention to developments in the Trump administration
● Be mindful of headlines related to additional BoJ rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping doesn’t have any particularly big catalysts, and the plan is to accumulate profits around market openings. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” I think you can handle it according to theory.
Also, the short-only 15-minute scalping is showing a stronger dollar-buying flow once overseas trading begins, so for now it’s a wait-and-see. Not many opportunities today, perhaps.
