【1/29 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Good job, everyone! Let’s do some USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is the overview for Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 155.35. This morning it started around 155.50, but during Tokyo time it’s in a wait-and-see mood ahead of the US FOMC policy rate announcement.
Tonight’s US FOMC is expected to hold steady, but movements may occur depending on Mr. Powell’s tone.
From the early levels, it looks like there will be a 15-pip drop as we transition to the overseas session.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00
● Movements near the New York market open around 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after 28:00 “US FOMC policy rate & statement release,” 28:30 “Powell’s press conference”
● Be mindful of developments in the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping: there isn’t much market material until the FOMC and Powell, so the idea is to stack profits from price action around market opens. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” follow the theory and you should be fine. If you can stay up for the 28:00 FOMC and 28:30 Powell press conference, I’d like to enter trades based on the subsequent moves. If you can stay awake…
Also, the 15-minute scalper focusing on shorts may have a chance if position adjustments appear ahead of the FOMC & Powell. The image is to sell near the mid-155 yen level.
