[Method free公開中] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points 2025/1/28
From Tomizaki of the Trading Office.
【1/28 Dollar-Yen Scalp Points】
Good work everyone! Now, let's continue with dollar-yen scalping tonight as well!
First, the overview of the Tokyo session today.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 155.80. This morning it started around 154.50, but during the Tokyo session it rebounded strongly from an unexpected drop caused by yesterday's DeepSeek shock.
The factor is President Trump mentioning the possibility of higher tariffs.
For now, the rally target seems to be around the pre-DeepSeek shock high of 156.25. From the morning level, that's about 1.30 yen higher as we hand over to overseas trading.
As I mentioned yesterday, after this, the market will likely move for a while on headlines related to the Trump administration.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 17:00
● Movements after the release of the U.S. durable goods orders at 22:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the U.S. Consumer Confidence Index release at 24:00
● Be mindful of the developments in the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute scalps will have opportunities around each market open, plus after the 22:30 durable goods orders release and after the 24:00 Consumer Confidence Index release. For members of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” there should be no problem handling according to the theory.
Also, the short-only 15-minute scalp has almost retraced to the pre-DeepSeek shock levels, so if selling comes again, there may be another chance. Roughly, the mid-156 range is considered the upper bound of the immediate range. If you can sell at levels around the mid-155s or higher, that would be the setup.
Now, overseas trading is about to begin!
