【1/22 USD/JPY Scalp Points】
Good work, everyone! Let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 155.90. This morning, USD/JPY started around 155.45, and during the Tokyo session there was a headline from the Trump administration that they are "negotiating a 10% tariff on China," but the pair is idling in the upper 155 yen range.
From the morning level, it looks like about 45 pips higher and will transition to the overseas session.
Also last night, Jiji Press reported the headline “BOJ to decide on additional rate hikes.” Since there wasn’t major chaos and the Trump administration has started, that may be the case.
Now, here are the points for this evening’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around 17:00 London market open
● Movements around 23:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the 24:00 release of the U.S. Leading Economic Index
● Be mindful of Trump administration developments
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will likely gain opportunities from market openings and the 24:00 U.S. Leading Economic Index release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” following the theory should be fine.
Additionally, the 15-minute scalp, which specializes in shorts, could be initiated if we see it selling in the upper 155 yen range. Last night, Jiji Press reported “BOJ to decide on additional rate hikes,” so yen buying is likely to come into play.
Now, the overseas session is about to start!
