Dollar yen fluctuates wildly following remarks by U.S. President Trump.

Tokyo time, the USD/JPY briefly fell to154.90yen after which President Trump suggested that he is considering imposing25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada. He said he thinks the measures would be implemented on2month1? day,1—the wording is fragmented in the source; translating as: on February 1. The USD/JPY then jumped to156.24yen, but reversed to154.77yen. In the afternoon, it recovered to the mid-155s. In European session, the USD/JPY saw a rebound and rose to156.05yen. In New York time, as selling emerged around the London fixing, the USD/JPY fell to155.25yen.
