Good work everyone! Now let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview during Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 157.35. This morning it started around 157.40, but during Tokyo time there was a about 1 yen wide fluctuation due to remarks by Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Shinichi Himi, but ultimately the rate level did not change.
It seems the pair will hand off to overseas time at roughly the morning level.
Asia’s high is around 158.05, with a high around 157.05. After this, overseas players will join, but until US indicators the sense of direction may be hard to come by.-
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movement around 17:00 around the London market open
● Movement after the US Producer Price Index release at 22:30
● Movement around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Pay attention to headlines related to US rate cuts
● Pay attention to headlines related to BOJ rate hikes
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to market open movements, the 22:30 US PPI release movements should create opportunities. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling as theory dictates should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute short-term scalping, which is focused on the yen-dollar, tends to be nerve-wracking due to US-Japan rate policy, so holding positions for long is unlikely and seems difficult. If this can be sold above the mid-157s, the idea is to rotate positions in small increments.
