[Technique Free Publication] Tonight's USD/JPY Scalping Points 2025/1/13
This is Tomizaki from Trading Office.
【1/13 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good job everyone! Alright, let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview for Tokyo time today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.50. This morning at around 157.75, USD/JPY started, but during Tokyo time it moved with a slight dollar-buying bias.
Following strong U.S. jobs data last weekend, expectations for rate cuts retreated, leading to a stock drop and risk-off dollar buying, a move we are following.
Asia's high has been around 157.95, with a high at around 157.25.
From the morning level, about 25 pips lower, it seems to hand over to the overseas session. We expect overseas players to step in with buy-the-dip, but... what do you think?
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 17:00
● Movements around the New York market open near 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Be cautious of headlines related to U.S. rate cuts
● Be cautious of headlines related to BOJ currency intervention
Tonight's 1-minute scalping: there are no particular catalysts in the market, so the plan is to accumulate profits around market opens. For users of the "1-minute scalping club," I think there shouldn't be any issues if you manage positions as per theory.
Also, the 15-minute scalping focused on short-side trades could present a chance if the risk-off dollar-buying trend continues. The plan is to enter if it can be sold above the mid-157s.
Now, the overseas session is about to begin!
【1/13 – Major U.S. Indicators/Events】
