【1/9 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Alright, let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 158.15. This morning, USD/JPY started around 158.25, and during the Tokyo session there was some buying near the middle rate, but the upside remained heavy as it progressed.
Today is former President Carter’s national day of mourning, so the U.S. stock market is closed, the bond market is on shortened trading, and the main movement appears to be adjustments.
Around 13:00 it briefly moved down to around 157.75, but then it retraced a bit and is likely to hand over to overseas time near the morning level.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00
● Be mindful of headlines related to BOJ currency intervention
For 1-minute chart scalping tonight, with the U.S. stock market closed and the bond market shortened, the plan is to accumulate profits from movements around the London market open. Users of the “1-minute Scalping Club” should handle it as theory suggests. Also, the New York market is expected to be calm afterwards, so today we plan to stay cautious.
For the short-term 15-minute chart scalping, which has been in a strong dollar/weak yen trend, there are signs of a bit of consolidation, so there may be opportunities. If we can sell in the 158 yen area, I’d like to target it.
