Japan is, needless to say, a rule-of-law country.
To maintain order, to live safely,
to protect various rights, to ensure fairness,
there are various laws like that.
I think that is an important mechanism in its own right.
However,
I believe every matter has both advantages and disadvantages.
This time, I will discuss the disadvantages in relation to FX.
First, what I feel is
an impression that laws keep increasing rapidly,
and that image persists.
As the world advances with IT and other things
we are entering a new era one after another.
Then,
I think there will be things that cannot be ruled by existing laws,
and once again, new laws may be enacted.
For example,
cryptocurrencies will likely have some new laws enacted in the future.
As new laws continue to increase like this,
the image is one of a “point-deduction principle.”
Personally, it gives me a somewhat negative impression
and feels like, “In a world where I can’t even speak up my mind,”
poison keeps accumulating,
and I imagine people cannot live freely, feeling frustrated.
Laws should be honored, but
the image is of being tightly bound,
and even if you follow them, taxes don’t get cheaper,
on the contrary, penalties may increase as you deviate,
creating an image of a point-deduction principle like that,
for example, there are honors like the National Honor Award and points-based systems
but
they don’t make taxes cheaper
I wonder,
for example, if you live properly, you could earn points
like “points activity,” and people might try harder.
Well, realistically, it’s probably going to stay as it is,
but I think there are risks from a point-deduction principle.
That is the limit or disadvantage of a rule-of-law state,
that is my impression.
Specifically,
I think people will stop trying to see the good parts.
Their attention will focus only on the bad points.
If that happens,
they will lose the ability to understand the good parts
and the ability to find good aspects will not be cultivated,
which in turn may affect
the literacy in FX,
and the ability to gauge right from wrong may regress,
or people may simply be tempted by gambling and be deceived by unscrupulous products,
that is another concern I have.
This topic might actually be more important than it seems.
Whether you consider this or not could make a huge difference.
There may be fewer people who think this way,
and such people might be quite valuable.
