【1/6 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Apologies for the delay, and Happy New Year. Starting today, we will launch USD/JPY scalping.Thank you again for your continued support this year!
First, let's overview today in Tokyo time.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.80. This morning it started around 157.20, but during Tokyo time the BOJ's possibility of delaying additional rate hikes until around spring is in focus, so the price is moving in a high range just below 158 at the turn of the year.
Before the benchmark, it had already risen to around 157.80, so the longs trapped at the highs are weighing it down somewhat, but later overseas players may try to test 158.
From the morning level, about 60 pips rise to the overseas session, and it will likely switch to the overseas session. Also, the year-end continues to be within the alert zone for BOJ currency intervention.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around 17:00 London market open
● Movements around 23:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Pay close attention to headlines related to BOJ currency intervention
For tonight's 1-minute chart scalping, since there is no particular market catalyst, think of stacking profits from moves near market opens. Users of the “1-minute scalping club” should handle it according to theory without issues.
Also, for the 15-minute scalping which is short in nature, given the dollar-strength and yen-weak trend, there may not be many opportunities. It isn't a market to force positions.
