Good job today! Alright, let's proceed with USD/JPY scalping tonight as well!
First, here is today's Tokyo-session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 153.45. This morning the pair started around 153.40, and during Tokyo session it briefly touched the 153.80 level, but ahead of tonight's U.S. FOMC, movement remained cautious.
It did not reach the 154 handle, and the Tokyo-session rise looked like a “will-then-revert” move, eventually handing over to the overseas session near the morning level.
Today's Asia high is around 153.80, and Asia low around 153.30.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00
● Movements after the U.S. housing starts release at 22:30
● Movements near the New York market open around 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Be mindful of headlines related to U.S. rate cuts
● Be mindful of headlines related to Bank of Japan rate hikes
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s one-minute scalping will likely find opportunities around each market open and also after the 22:30 U.S. housing starts release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” it should be fine to handle according to the theory. The 28:00 FOMC and 28:30 Powell press conference are also scheduled, but those will be pursued if we are awake….
In addition, the 15-minute chart short-focused scalping, ahead of tomorrow’s U.S. FOMC, may present selling opportunities as position adjustments occur. If it can be sold above the mid-153s, we will target it.
Now, the overseas session is about to begin!
