【12/11 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's continue with dollar-yen scalping tonight as well!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the Dollar/Yen is around 151.65. This morning the dollar/yen started around 151.95, but in the Tokyo session, domestic corporate goods prices exceeded expectations, which somewhat revived expectations of a December rate hike by the Bank of Japan, leading to a trend of yen buying.
Around noon, it sold off to a local Asia low of around 151.40.
From there, it rebounded a little, and with about a 30-pip drop from the morning level, it is expected to transition to the overseas session.
Today, the U.S. CPI is scheduled, so until release, it may trade in a range with load at the 152 handle and buying interest in the mid-151s.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the 17:00 London market open
● Movements after the 22:30 U.S. CPI release
● Movements around the 23:00 New York market open (23:30 Dow opens)
● Be mindful of headlines related to U.S. rate cuts
● Be mindful of headlines related to BoJ rate hikes
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight's 1-minute scalping, in addition to moves around each market open, there should be opportunities after the 22:30 U.S. CPI release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” handling according to theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalp dedicated to shorts: if there are sell-offs ahead of the U.S. CPI release as a position adjustment, there should also be chances. If it forms a selling area above the mid-151s, we will aim for it.
