【12/4 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good job everyone! Let’s do some Dollar-Yen scalping tonight as well!
First, here is the Tokyo time overview for today.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 150.05. This morning it started around 149.55, but during Tokyo hours it retraced from the prior-day yen’s strength and rose to today’s Asia high of around 150.15 just after 13:30.
An article suggesting a cautious outlook on December’s BOJ rate hike seemed to be transmitted to foreign players, and the yen was actively bought back as a result.
From the morning levels, about 50 pips higher, it is likely to hand over to the overseas session.
Now, here are tonight’s dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements around the London market open near 17:00
● Movements after the US ADP employment data release at 22:15
● Movements around the New York market open near 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the US ISM non-manufacturing index release at 24:00
● Pay attention to statements from US officials
● Pay attention to headlines related to BOJ additional rate hikes
● Pay attention to headlines related to Trump’s upcoming administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to moves around each market open, should present opportunities with the 22:15 US ADP data and the 24:00 US ISM non-manufacturing index releases. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” if you handle them according to the theory, there should be no problem.
Also, the 15-minute scalp, which is short selling only, seems heavy around the 150 level, and there may be opportunities there as well. If we can set up to sell above the mid-149s, we’ll target that.
