12/14★ There are each movement characteristics depending on the currency pair.

Each currency pair has its own price movement characteristics.
From the world’s trading volume,
centered around the dollar, which is the base currency,
I think price movements of various currency pairs are formed.
Among them,
I think the dollar-yen and euro-dollar are central and move.
And,
by combining the dollar-yen and euro-dollar, the euro-yen rate can be calculated.
In other words, these so-called cross yen pairs are called synthetic currency pairs.
Euro-yen, pound-yen, Aussie-yen, etc.
Such currency pairs are dragged by dollar-yen or euro-dollar,
and considering the world’s trading volume, it seems so.
In that sense,
Cross yen tend to lack price movement autonomy, being dragged by more active pairs like dollar-yen and euro-dollar,
making technicals less effective,
and thus the mainstream EA tends to be for dollar-yen or euro-dollar,
I feel that way.
However,
cross yen pairs, for example pound-yen,
have higher price levels themselves compared to others,
and because cross yen have been dragged for too long,
if trends are likely to form,
pound-yen,
is more amenable to trend-following logic,
there is such a tendency, I think.
On the other hand,
dollar-yen and euro-dollar respond well to technicals,
there is that aspect, I believe.
In particular, Japanese people use technicals seriously,
and because of that, technicals tend to work well,
that is the impression I have.
Also,
when currencies are similar like dollar and Canadian, euro and pound, Aussie and New Zealand,
mean-reversion tends to be more effective,
that is the image I have.
In this way,
there are price movement characteristics unique to each currency pair.
With that in mind, including portfolio construction,
I would like each pair to leverage its own characteristics.Would be great!
