[Free method released] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points 2024/11/28
I’m Tomizaki from the Trading Office.
【11/28 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Now let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 151.55. This morning it started around 151.05, but during the Tokyo session it regained a bit from the sharp drop that approached a 3-yen range yesterday, showing a slight rebound.
The sharp decline was driven by factors such as profit-taking on Trump-related dollar-buying positions ahead of US Thanksgiving and widespread expectations of a December BoJ rate hike overseas.
From the morning levels, there is about a 50-pip rebound expected as we hand over to the overseas session.
Today is US Thanksgiving, markets are closed, and tomorrow is Black Friday with shortened trading hours, so the US effectively enters a long holiday.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around around the London market open at 17:00
● No particularly notable US data to watch
● Be cautious of sudden moves due to lower liquidity (US Thanksgiving)
● Be aware of headlines related to the Trump administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalp will, with the US closed for Thanksgiving, look to capture profits from moves near the London market open. If market movement is lackluster, I will exit early without forcing it.
Also, the 15-minute scalp, which is a short-selling-focused strategy, already has all stops up to the mid-150s, so further sharp drops seem unlikely; however, if it can sell around the 152 area, the idea is to target rallies for selling. If a selling setup appears, I will also rotate positions in small increments without forcing it.
So, the overseas session will start soon!
【11/28 – Major US indicators/events】
