[Methods Free Public Release] Tonight’s USD/JPY Scalping Points 2024/11/27
Tomizaki from the Trading Office here.
【11/27 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Great job everyone! Alright, let's do some Dollar/Yen scalping again tonight!
First, overview of today’s Tokyo session.
Currently, the Dollar/Yen is around 152.35. This morning it started around 153.05, but during the Tokyo session, following Donald Trump’s remarks on trade as the potential next U.S. president, risk-off yen buying dominated.
Also, since tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S. and the weekend effectively creates a long holiday, position adjustments before Thanksgiving have progressed quite a bit.
From the morning levels, it looks like a drop of about 70 pips will hand off to the overseas session.
Now, the points for tonight’s Dollar/Yen scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 17:00
● Movements after the releases of U.S. initial jobless claims, U.S. Q3 GDP, and U.S. durable goods orders at 22:30
● Movements around the New York market open near 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the release of U.S. personal income and U.S. pending home sales at 24:00
● Be mindful of headlines related to Trump’s upcoming administration
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping opportunities will arise from the market open movements plus the moves after 22:30 releases and after 24:00 releases. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” processing according to theory should be fine.
Also, the 15-minute scalping for shorts only has advanced quite a bit due to pre-Thanksgiving position adjustments in the Tokyo session. If it retreats toward around 153, there could be selling on rallies, but I’d avoid selling aggressively in the low 152s. It feels like there’s less opportunity in the Tokyo session.
Now, we’re about to begin the overseas session!
